What is this?

Still unsure. At the moment it’s a few off-the-cuff thoughts about the transition from clinical to non-clinical work. More than likely it’ll turn into ramblings that someone will point to in the future to demonstrate where it all started unravelling.

My name is Bal. I’m writing stuff down because I thought that a younger version of me would be grateful to hear about someone else’s journey away from the hospital.

I graduated from the University of Newcastle (Australia) in 2020 and worked as a junior doctor until November 2022. Since then, I’ve been working as a Program Manager for Lead Exposure Elimination Project – an NGO working to end childhood lead poisoning.
